Children's Ministry

Jesus said, "Let the little children come to me..."

Matthew 19:14

Our goal is to lead kids and families to find and follow Jesus! SJKidz (Children's Church) and nursery care are available on Sunday mornings at both the 8 and 9:45am services. Scroll down to learn about all of our options, or click on the links below to jump to a specific section.
Check out our Children's Ministry Facebook page to stay up to date!
To keep our children safe, parents check their children using one of our KidCheck computer stations. There will be a volunteer at the KidCheck stations to assist you and answer any questions you may have. Create your free account now and avoid the hassle on Sunday morning! iOS / Google Play / Web
Check out Walking Together, Kadie's new parenting podcast!
We have a whole page devoted to resources for parenting babies through teenagers!

Cry Room & Nursery

Infants - 2 year-olds  |  Available Sundays at 8 & 9:45am

Cry Room and Nursing Moms: Parents, if you need a few moments during church for your wiggly one to calm down, please go to the Cry Room, located in our chapel, right next to the Worship Center. You will still be able to watch and hear a live feed of the service.
Nursery Care: Nursery care for infants and children 2 years and under is available Sundays at both the 8 and 9:45 am services. In the Nursery, we understand the value of even the youngest kids, and that God has lovingly created each child in a unique way. With that in mind we strive to provide a safe, caring nursery environment.

SJKidz

3 years - 4th grade  |  Available Sundays at 8 & 9:45am

SJKidz

3 years - 4th grade  |  Available Sundays at 8 & 9:45am

Our goal is to shepherd your child's heart to understand the depth of Jesus' love for them, while instilling  Biblical knowledge.

SJKidz is designed to help our children be active participants in worship. SJKidz mirrors worship in the Worship center with music and activities that are tailored for children. SJKidz starts with opening worship before the kids divide into small groups. With their small groups, they will be able to dig deeper into the lesson and activities.

The small group breakdowns for SJKidz are:
  • 3 - 5 Years
  • Kindergarten - 1st Grade
  • 2nd - 4th Grade
SJKidz runs the full length of our 8 and 9:45am services. Feel free to drop off or pick up your child at any point before, during, or after the worship service.

Kids are also welcome in the Worship Center with adults. We encourage you to allow your kids to spend time in corporate worship with the family from time to time as well as being in SJKidz.

GO! Curriculum

GO! children's ministry curriculum starts with GOD. He is the ultimate storyteller and the Bible has the greatest story ever told. As ministry leaders, our joy is helping kids discover that story and experience the love of Jesus Christ.
We want every lesson plan to be a life-changing experience for kids. Since children are active by God's design, we make active learning a core part of our curriculum. Since kids are social by God's design, we make relationship a key element in every lesson.

Serving with Children's Ministry

Volunteering in Children's Ministry can make a huge impact in planting seeds and growing a child’s faith from a young age. Serving is also fun and a great way to connect with others at St. John's!

There are always needs in our nursery and Children's Church. Volunteer leaders typically serve 1-2x per month and always serve with a partner in varying roles.
To learn more about the opportunities available to serve, contact Children's Ministry Director Kadie Cleveland at 303-733-3777 x 174 or kadie.cleveland@sjdenver.org.
